Northeastern University is inviting applications for an open non-tenure track Teaching Professor in the Accounting Group at the Boston Campus, with anticipated start in August 2026. The role is full-time, benefits-eligible, and expects teaching, research, and service responsibilities.

Appointment will be at Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor level, depending on qualifications, with emphasis on teaching in financial accounting, tax, audit, or data analytics and maintaining scholarly

Qualifications

• PhD/doctorate in accounting or closely related field by start date.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and research.
• Experience teaching at college level preferred; ability to contribute to AACSB qualification as Scholarly Academic.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate accounting courses (financial, tax, audit, data analytics).
• Engage in service to the Accounting Group, DMSB, and Northeastern University; participate in governance and committees.
• Develop an independent research program toward ongoing AACSB Scholarly Academic qualification.
