Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a data analytics/accounting professional to analyze system processes and drive improvements across financial systems. You will design, test and implement processes, liaise between accounting users and development staff, and help document workflows to ensure data integrity and reliable reporting.

The role requires 1–3 years in analytics, accounting or computers, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and strong Excel and accounting software skills.

Qualifications

Minimum 1–3 years experience in analytics, computers and/or accounting.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
Experience creating flow charts and process documentation highly preferred.
Expert-level knowledge of computer systems and Excel, and at least one accounting system.
Prefer Access and SQL experience.
Excellent research, analysis, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze system processes for process improvements and recommendations.
Design, test and implement system processes.
Work as accounting liaison between accounting users and programming staff.
Identify and coordinate development of financial systems program enhancements and modifications.
Manage system data and verify data accuracy initially and monitor as updates or changes occur to ensure data integrity.
Generates reports and review for reliability.
Plan, coordinate and/or implement user support services such as training, documentation and communications.
Analyze user requirements, procedures and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system.
Write detailed description of user needs, program functions and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to specify, in detail, operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by system personnel.
