What You’ll Do
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, including reviewing accounts, processing invoices and financial forms, and preparing fiscal information.
  • Process and reconcile financial transactions, deposits, cash and non-cash transactions.
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, students, and university departments to answer questions and help resolve payment, billing, and account issues.
  • Monitor budget activity and assist with general ledger reconciliation, journal entries, reporting, and budget preparation.
  • Process payroll-related activities and maintain accurate financial documentation.
  • Use computerized systems for financial data entry, research, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Depending on the career level, research discrepancies, audit accounts, generate financial reports, assist with account reconciliation and year-end accounting activities, and support increasingly complex financial matters.

The position requires skills in balancing and recording transactions, monitoring accounts, maintaining records, querying data, preparing reports, and communicating effectively with coworkers, students, supervisors, administration and potentially the public.

If you are detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial information, committed to accuracy, and enjoy helping others, this is an opportunity to put those strengths to work in support of the University community.
