Job summary

State of Georgia, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, is seeking an Accounting Supervisor/Patient Account Officer for the East Central Regional Hospital in Augusta.

The role oversees accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and budget monitoring, with a preference for candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree in business/finance and several years in accounting, including supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting or Finance and/or 3 years of professional accounting experience; or two years if experience in patient billing in Medicare, Medicaid, or 3rd Party Insurance.
• High school diploma/GED and 5 years of job-related accounting or fiscal experience including two years in a lead worker, team leader, or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff.
• Oversees accounting and fiscal control functions, such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll preparation, budget monitoring or related processes.
