Job summary

The State of Georgia’s Department of Human Services in Rome, GA is seeking an Accounting Technician Supervisor to oversee the unit’s daily financial operations and ensure GAAP compliance. The role reports to the Regional Director and includes opportunities for telework depending on the position.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in business with accounting experience and have lead or supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field with experience in accounting/fiscal control functions.
• Associate's degree in business or related field with three years of accounting/fiscal control experience.
• Five years of accounting/fiscal control experience with two years in a lead/supervisory role or one year at the lower level Accounting Technician 3.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and plans work of assigned staff.
• Analyzes financial reports to assess compliance and GAAP adherence.
• Balances and maintains accounting/financial records and related transactions.
