Job summary

The City of Lakeville is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to lead day-to-day financial operations and mentor a high-performing team. You will directly coach AP/AR and Utility Billing Technicians while taking ownership of core financial engines to keep city services running smoothly.

You will supervise general ledger reconciliations, GASB-compliant fixed assets, delinquent certification processes, and P-card and Risk Management programs, while driving month-end closes, budgeting collaboration,

Qualifications

• Experience supervising AP/AR and Utility Billing Technicians.
• Strong public-sector accounting knowledge and GASB familiarity.
• Ability to drive process improvements across finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily workflow for finance team and foster collaboration.
• Direct general ledger reconciliations and fixed assets (GASB).
• Oversee delinquent certification processes and P-card programs.
• Manage Risk Management initiatives and controls improvement.
• Drive month-end and year-end closes and assist with budget processes.
• Support ACFR preparation and strengthen internal controls for efficiency.
