Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the operational results of General Foremen and their crews.
  • Schedule weekly crew visits, develop crew members in project management and safety leadership.
  • Implement Corporate Safety Program, hold GFs accountable.
  • Work with GFs and Corporate Safety to investigate accident claims.
  • Ensure high‑quality arboricultural work through QA/QC.
  • Maintain equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and purchasing procedures.
  • Create communication cadence with existing customers focusing on satisfaction and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with customer contract specifications.
  • Maintain open communication with Division Manager on operational activities.
  • Foster relationships with potential customers as directed.
  • Understand and administer company policies and procedures.
  • Attend internal and external training courses.
  • Model Leadership in Action principles and hold GFs accountable.
  • Overall responsible for professional growth of each GF.
  • Use cost‑reporting to identify operational issues and improve business.
Qualifications – Required
  • Minimum 3 years experience as General Foreman or related.
  • Safety champion attitude.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of reviewing and preparing estimates for fixed‑price lump‑sum bids.
  • Basic technology knowledge: e‑mail, Microsoft Office, smartphones.
  • Willing to travel by ground or air; extended out‑of‑town stay may be required in emergencies.
  • In some territories, ISA‑certified arborist or utility specialist required after 1 year.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bi‑lingual (Spanish) – plus.
  • Prior customer‑service experience.
  • Identify local tree species.
  • Learn new programs.
  • QA/QC assessment experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project‑management skills.
Technology & Equipment
  • Standard office equipment: computer, phone, scanner, fax, copier.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office programs.
Physical Demands & Environmental Conditions
  • Lift 25 lbs. or more to shoulder height.
  • Push or pull up to 25 lbs.
  • Walk or hike up to one mile on uneven terrain.
  • Endure extreme climate variations; hear, speak, see, and communicate effectively.
  • Operate two‑handed tools and equipment; stand, walk, sit for extended periods; reach, perform repetitive keystrokes.
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs.
  • Work continuously outdoors; occasional noise; frequent extreme temperatures; rarely hazardous materials; never confined spaces.
