Job summary

Surge Staffing's Mississippi plant seeks an Accounting Supervisor to lead financial reporting, internal controls, and cost accounting for manufacturing operations. You will manage GL, AP/AR, cash flow, inventory valuation, and ERP data in D365 while partnering with production, purchasing, HR, engineering, and plant leadership to drive accuracy and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with strong GAAP knowledge.
• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with cost accounting and manufacturing environments.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis.
• Audit experience and SOX familiarity where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of GAAP financial statements.
• Manage general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Analyze financial and manufacturing data to support cost control.
• Lead or support audits and ensure internal controls compliance.
• Develop ERP reporting and data integrity within the system.
