GL Accounting Supervisor, NVA

As a member of the Finance / Accounting Team, the Accounting Supervisor is primarily responsible for performing various accounting functions, reconciliation analysis, and other ad-hoc tasks to support the management and other senior members of the team.
Job Description
- Supervise and develop a team of two accountants.
- Oversee accrual accounting, balance sheet accounts, and monthly reconciliations.
- Review month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Provide guidance, problem resolution, and mentoring to accounting staff.
- Support preparation of annual audit schedules and respond to external auditor requests.
- Manage and improve interdepartmental processes related to general ledger accounting.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and accounting projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting/Finance.
- 5+ years of accounting or related experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory or direct-report management experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, indirect functions, and PivotTables.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly summarize complex financial matters.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, MBA, or equivalent.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in both private and public accounting environments.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to proactively resolve issues.
- Experience supporting multiple business units or legal entities with varying accounting requirements.

FLSA Status: Exempt, Salaried
Base Salary: $108,000-148,500
Annual Incentive Plan: 15%
