Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Our client is a construction company. They seek an Accounting Supervisor to join their Queens, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly internal consolidated and consolidating financial statements
• Manage the month-end closing schedule and oversee all account reconciliations
• Produce journal entries in the General Ledger and own particular tasks in that process
• Ready variance analyses for specific accounts to assist with identifying key insights
• Lead various accounting transaction cycles, focusing on improving processes
• Assist with annual external audits by preparing schedules and explaining procedures
• Work and partner with teams across the company to ensure the accuracy of financial records
• Drive ongoing process improvements and efficiency gains for areas of responsibility
• Lead or assist on ad-hoc tax compliance or system implementations as needed

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Public or private accounting background
• Open to industry background
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Supervisory experience preferred
• CPA required
