Job summary

Software Placement Group in Hope, AR seeks an Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and partner with the Controller on month-end close, audits, and tax reporting.

The role leads the accounting staff, reviews journal entries, reconciles inventory, and supports payroll duties as needed. Travel may be required and on-site work is expected in Hope, AR.

Qualifications

Overview

An established company is seeking a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and partner closely with the Controller. This role leads the accounting staff and plays a key part in month-end close, inventory reconciliation, payroll support, audits, and tax reporting.

What you'll do

• Supervise accounting staff, answer technical questions, and guide daily workflow
• Prepare and review journal entries, conduct inventory counts and reconciliations, and generate month-end reports
• Prepare sales and use tax returns, enforce internal controls, and maintain strict data confidentiality
• Analyze financial options, assist with corporate accounting initiatives, and lead special projects

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience with direct reports
• Proven financial reporting skills, detail orientation, and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to travel as needed

Preferred qualifications

• CPA/CMA license (or eligibility to sit for exams)
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP software
