Job summary

Atlanta Women's Healthcare Specialists is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and retirement plan administration.

The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and capable of handling multiple priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Minimum of two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with accounts payable, general ledger, and month-end close.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and prepare payments.
• Review and reconcile invoices and supporting documentation.
• Maintain general ledgers and account reconciliations.
• Post payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll accounts.
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Maintain corporate records and prepare state filings.
• Support retirement plan administration and 401(k) activities.
• Assist with special projects and process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and corporate information.
