Pilgrim’s, a global food company, is seeking an Accounting Specialist Lead - Fuel in Pittsburg, Texas. The role focuses on fuel cost tracking, inventory monitoring, and accounts payable for fuel suppliers.

The candidate will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate reporting and timely month-end close. Responsibilities include preparing fuel reports, tracking costs, balancing inventories, and maintaining the fuel card program.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 2 years of clerical or accounting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual fuel reports as required.
• Track and verify costs on fuel related entries.
• Balance fuel inventories on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Maintain off site fuel card program.

• Communicate daily with outside suppliers and Truck Shop Management.

• Complete Month End fuel task with strict deadlines.

Accounting Specialist Lead - Fuel

Location: Pittsburg, Texas

Pay Range: $32,255 - $42, 818; SNE Hourly Position

Position Summary

The Accounting Specialist II - Fuel is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks related to fuel cost tracking, inventory monitoring, and accounts payable functions. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work closely with internal teams and outside vendors.
