Job summary

The Arizona Exposition and State Fair Board seeks an Accounting Specialist 2 to support the CFO in accounts receivable, payroll, and general accounting functions. Primary duties include processing invoices, vendor payments, payroll assistance, data entry, and report generation.

Remote work within Arizona may be possible based on performance and business needs. The role offers a path for growth within a public sector finance team and requires a high school diploma or GED with relevant accounting

Qualifications

• College level accounting classes or accounting degree required.
• Strong knowledge of AFIS and Procure AZ systems.
• Proficiency with Google Suites and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with accounts receivable/payable, payroll and general ledger tasks.
• Ability to maintain accurate spreadsheets and run reports.

Responsibilities

• Process billing for services and issue invoices.
• Manage payments with vendors and ensure timely payments.
• Assist biweekly payroll and box office accounting.
• Enter data into Procure AZ and QuickBooks.
• Prepare daily deposits and reconciling transactions.
• Create and maintain accounting spreadsheets and reports.
