Job summary

The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking an Accounting Specialist I to apply GAAP to a broad range of transactions for SBTS and subsidiaries. You will enter transactions, reconcile ledgers, and help with month-end close under the supervision of the Manager of Accounting Operations.

Required is an Associate's degree in accounting or related field and 1–3 years of accounting experience, plus strong Excel and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process daily transaction reports and journal entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end processes.

• Prepare daily deposits and maintain accounting records.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
