Build your career as an Accounting Specialist

This role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions, assisting with the monthly close process, account reconciliations, participating in external audits, and helping improve accounting processes to add value. You will have the opportunity for significant impact and ownership from day one, helping us build a scalable finance foundation.

Job Challenges

• Support in the accounting closing process to ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly analytical reviews of main account fluctuations.
• Manage accounts payable monthly reconciliations.
• Reconcile payment processor balances monthly.
• Lead shipping and fulfillment cost analysis and reconciliation within the Accounting Department.
• Oversee wholesale monthly reconciliation processes, including invoices, payments, and commissions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, regulations, and company policies, staying updated with changes and implementing necessary adjustments.
• Maintain and improve current accounting processes and infrastructure to support business growth.
• Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by providing documentation and support.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of experience at a Big Accounting firm, specializing in auditing or BPO services for Retail or Ecommerce companies, or
• 1+ years as a Senior at a Big Accounting firm plus 2+ years as a Senior or Specialist in Accounting within a Retail company.
• Experience with inventory valuation analysis and reconciliation.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong accounting experience with IFRS; SOX / US GAAP is a plus.
• Experience with Netsuite ERP is valued.
