Build your career as an Accounting Specialist

This role involves managing day-to-day accounting functions, supporting the monthly close process, account reconciliations, participating in external audits, and improving accounting processes to add value. You will help build a scalable finance foundation and have significant impact and ownership from day one.

Job Challenges

• Support the accounting closing process for timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare analytical reviews of main account fluctuations monthly.
• Handle accounts payable reconciliation processes.
• Reconcile payment processor balances monthly.
• Lead shipping and fulfillment cost analysis and reconciliation within the Accounting Department.
• Manage wholesale reconciliation processes, including invoices, payments, and commissions, within the relevant Squad and Tribe.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, regulations, and company policies, staying updated on standards and implementing changes.
• Maintain and improve current accounting processes and infrastructure, evaluating opportunities to add value and efficiency.
• Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by providing documentation and support.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of experience at a Big Accounting firm, specializing in auditing or BPO services for Retail or Ecommerce companies, or
• 1+ years as a Senior at a Big Accounting firm in similar specialization, plus 2+ years as a Senior or Specialist in Accounting within a Retail company.
• Experience with inventory valuation analysis and reconciliation.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong accounting experience; IFRS knowledge is essential. SOX / US GAAP is a plus.
• Experience with Netsuite ERP is valued.
