Job summary

West Liberty University is seeking applications for an Accounting Specialist responsible for posting and reconciling daily financial transactions, including deposits, interest income, ACH, and interdepartmental transfers. The position supports grant billing and student accounts while delivering professional customer service to students, parents, and campus stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field is required.
At least 2 years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, cash management or related experience.
Preferred 3 years or more of progressively responsible accounting experience.

Responsibilities

Post daily deposits to appropriate accounts.
Post interest income and recurring financial transactions.
Process and post ACH transactions and electronic account activity.
Post and reconcile interdepartmental and institutional transfers in Oasis and Banner.
Review transactions for accuracy and coding; research discrepancies as needed.
Maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions and assist with year-end procedures.
Assist with preparation of financial reports and schedules.
