Job summary

United Way of Palm Beach County is seeking an Accounting Specialist to provide financial and administrative support, including cash receipts processing, journal entries, and donor/grant schedules. Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• 2+ years accounting/bookkeeping experience in public accounting or similar environment.
• Not-for-profit accounting knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Import cash receipt transactions weekly into the accounting system from the donor database.
• Reconcile cash receipts between accounting system, donor database, and operating bank account.
• Assist in monthly bank reconciliations and prepare adjusting journal entries.
• Prepare reports, summaries, and reconciliations; support Accounts Payable and vendor records.
• Assist with grants schedules and general ledger reconciliations.
