Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking an Accounting professional at the Tongue Point Job Corps Center in Astoria, OR. This full-time role covers accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, cash management, and inventory control, supporting PRH policies and accounting procedures.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, generate reports, and assist with audits and budgets while ensuring timely payroll processing and student benefit fund activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Experience with Oracle or similar enterprise accounting software required.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post routine journal entries in Oracle.
• Assist Accounting Manager with accounts payable activity and invoice discrepancies.
• Perform routine accounting functions and reconcile transactions.
• Maintain accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory records, and general ledger activity.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end close.
• Prepare routine financial reports and assist with audits and budgets.
• Serve as onsite timekeeper reviewing payroll timesheets.
