Elektro Assemblies is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our growing team in Red Wing, Minnesota. This hands-on role supports day-to-day accounting, business and office functions in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and takes ownership. The position requires managing AP/AR, processing invoices, supporting month-end close, and applying process improvements using MS Excel and Office tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Equivalent education and relevant work experience will be considered.
• Strong Excel skills required.
• Experience with accounting software preferred.
• Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Process invoices, payments, deposits, and customer billing.
• Assist with bank and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Monitor customer accounts and support collections.
• Maintain organized accounting documentation.
• Work closely with management and outside accounting resources.
• Manage day-to-day office support functions.
• Maintain files, records, and company documentation.
• Assist with purchasing, supplies, and vendor coordination.
• Support employee onboarding and general administrative needs.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, and provide professional customer and employee support.
• Coordinate meetings, schedules, and other office activities.
• Help establish and improve business processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Office, especially Excel, at a high level.
• Leverage technology and AI tools to improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and other business processes.
• Maintain accurate data and documentation across company systems.
