Walbridge is seeking an energetic accounting professional to lead internal billing, credit, expenses, and related accounting duties at our Detroit, MI headquarters. This role is suitable for someone starting their career in accounting or an experienced specialist seeking impact and growth.

The position focuses on managing internal billing, intercompany transactions, and monthly reporting across multiple entities, with opportunities for development and advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or accounting or equivalent combinations of training and professional experience.
• 2+ years corporate accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word software programs.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Review and post accounting items and transactions to multiple companies.
• Complete bank reconciliations for multiple companies.
• Record daily cash transactions not initiated through A/P or A/R modules in accounting software.
• Review/ Process monthly employee expense reports via the electronic expense reporting system.
• Reconcile and record entries for credit card payments.
• Analyze suspense accounts weekly.
• Record Inter-company transactions.
• Create monthly journal entries to record costs as needed.
• Assist A/P with sending and reconciling EFT payments.
• Prepare Quarterly and Year End Financial Reports for multiple companies.
• Scanning and filing as needed.
