We are looking for a capable Accounting Specialist to join our in-office Accounting team in Tampa. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting daily accounting functions. We’re seeking someone who is detail-driven, comfortable working with numbers, and has a strong grasp of accounting basics.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end processes, and who is ready to take ownership of their work in a collaborative environment. A degree in Accounting or Finance is a major plus, and solid Excel proficiency is a must.

What You’ll Do:

• Handle day-to-day AP and AR transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Support monthly closing by preparing journal entries and assisting with ledger reconciliations
• Review and reconcile accounts, resolving any variances as needed
• Maintain and update fixed asset records
• Investigate and clear account issues with vendors, customers, and dealers
• Assist in generating financial reports and analysis
• Help prepare audit documentation and respond to auditor inquiries
• Suggest and help implement improvements to existing processes
• Perform additional accounting-related tasks as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close activities
• Strong understanding of debits and credits and how they affect the general ledger
• ERP experience is helpful—SAP preferred
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
• Comfortable managing deadlines and prioritizing work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Familiarity with GAAP and internal control practices
• Previous exposure to fixed asset tracking and audit support
