Description

The Senior Accounting Specialist will provide essential support to the Accounting and Finance Team by maintaining the accounting books of two entities following applicable standards. Responsibilities include timely bookkeeping, maintaining balance sheet and profit/loss schedules, and ensuring financial statements are free of material misstatements due to error or fraud.

The role also involves leading team members through task assignment and guidance, assisting during audits, staying updated on accounting compliance standards, and being adaptable to new roles and tasks.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in General Ledger functions
• Thorough knowledge of current applicable accounting standards
• Ability to maintain balance sheet and income statement schedules properly
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA designation
• Experience interpreting and applying new accounting standards
• Experience preparing financial statements
• Experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
