Job summary

Securis in Chantilly, VA is seeking an Accounting Specialist to handle bookkeeping, A/R, A/P, and administrative tasks in a hybrid environment.

You will work with the Accounting Manager, support client accounts, and contribute to financial reporting while upholding the company’s values and commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related accounting experience.
• Proficient with Google Workspace, QuickBooks, and Adobe.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, Shopify, PayPal, Ariba, Transcepta, and Coupa preferred.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process client invoices and payments.
• Maintain client accounts and coordinate with sales team.
• Perform A/R and A/P tasks and reconciliations.
• Handle collections and tax reporting as needed.
• Assist with franchisee and e-commerce reporting.

Position Title: Accounting Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 2 days/week on-site in Chantilly, VA

Reports To: Accounting Manager

The Accounting Specialist will perform a variety of bookkeeping, A/R, A/P, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is able to work independently as well as part of a team and has strong client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Process client invoices
• Maintain client accounts and coordinate with sales team
• Record client payments
• Collections
• A/R reconciliations
• Record e-commerce sales
• Process client applications
• Process USPS mail
• Process Franchisee(s) bi-monthly/monthly reports
• Sales tax reporting
• GSA reporting
• Track budget expenses

Skills

• 5 or more years of related experience.
• Proficient in Google Workplace applications, Quickbooks Online/Quickbooks Desktop, and Adobe
• Experience with Salesforce, Shopify, PayPal, Ariba, Transcepta, and Coupa is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
