Job summary

Responsibilities include journal entries, accounts payable/receivable coordination, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements. Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with QuickBooks, Sage, and ERP systems are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience specifically focused on bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables; experience with QuickBooks, Sage, and ERP systems.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous Accounting Specialist to join our finance team. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Additionally, you will handle general accounting functions, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and supporting month-end closing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Bank Reconciliation

• Match bank statement transactions against the general ledger daily.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies or variances promptly.

General Ledger Maintenance

• Prepare, post, and record accurate journal entries for daily business transactions, adjustments, and recurring expenses.

Month-End Support

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare preliminary financial reports.
• Verify account balances and supporting documentation.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Monitor cash flows.
• Verify deposit entries.
• Collaborate with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to clear outstanding items.

Audit & Compliance

• Maintain organized digital and physical financial records.
• Provide supporting documentation for internal or external financial reviews.

Required Qualifications

Education
