The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in accounting, 2–3 years of experience, and a strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA track or licensure strongly preferred.
• 2–3 years accounting experience in a professional services or CPA firm environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and tax compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, technically sound work under deadlines.
• Proactive in identifying issues and proposing practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of business tax returns (quarterly and annual payroll tax, Forms 1099).
• Prepare personal property tax filings, gross receipts taxes, sales and use tax filings, and similar filings.
• Perform bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks for client records.
• Make fundamental decisions on tax and accounting matters and communicate solutions to the manager.
