Job summary

Rodefer Moss is seeking a Senior CAS Associate to join our client accounting services team in Knoxville. This role focuses on managing multiple client engagements, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, and delivering timely financial reports.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or outsourced accounting experience, strong QuickBooks Online skills, and a solid foundation in bank reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3–5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping, accounting, outsourced accounting, or client accounting services experience required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of clients.
• Reviewing and recording client transactions while maintaining accurate general ledger accounts.
• Preparing and reviewing bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Analyzing financial data and identifying discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Processing payroll and maintaining compliance with payroll tax requirements.
• Preparing payroll tax, sales tax, and other business tax filings.
• Serving as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and responding to accounting-related inquiries.
• Assisting clients with accounting software, process improvements, and best practices.
• Collaborating with team members to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality client service.
• Supporting onboarding, mentoring, and training efforts for junior staff as needed.
• Identifying opportunities to provide additional value and advisory support to clients.
