Aptiv is seeking an Accounting Senior Analyst, Consolidations to support global financial consolidation, monthly/ quarterly close, and reporting. You will prepare consolidation journal entries, coordinate with business accounting teams, and drive process improvements through automation.

The role offers broad exposure to Aptiv’s finance organization and opportunities to contribute to audits and SOX initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally spanning public accounting and a corporate accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience supporting financial close, consolidation, journal entry or financial statement preparation activities.

• Support monthly and quarterly global financial consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Prepare monthly journal entries to complete the consolidation process.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reporting.

• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses in response to management requests.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve consolidation processes through automation and continuous improvement.
• Support internal and external audits, including documentation and related procedures.
• Assist with SOX compliance documentation, testing and special finance projects.

Role Summary

The Accounting Senior Analyst, Consolidations will support Aptiv’s global financial consolidation process for internal and external financial reporting. This role will assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, consolidation journal entries, financial statement preparation, and coordination with business accounting teams. The position provides broad exposure to Aptiv’s global finance organization and offers opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement.

Your Role

Support the monthly and quarterly global financial consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

Prepare monthly journal entries required to complete the consolidation process.

Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reporting.

Partner with business accounting teams to review trial balances and resolve consolidation-related matters.

Prepare ad hoc financial analyses in response to management requests.

Identify and implement opportunities to improve consolidation processes through automation and continuous improvement.

Support internal and external audits, including requested documentation and related procedures.

Assist with SOX compliance documentation, testing and special finance projects.

Your Background

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.

2 to 4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally spanning public accounting and a corporate accounting environment.

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Experience supporting financial close, consolidation, journal entry or financial statement preparation activities.

Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.

Proven ability to collaborate across functions and build effective relationships within a diverse, global organisation.

Ability and interest to take on broader responsibilities within the Finance organisation.

Preferred Qualifications

CPA license or equivalent professional accounting certification.

Experience with Hyperion Financial Management, HFM or a comparable financial consolidation system.
