Job summary

The University of South Dakota Beacom School of Business seeks an Accounting Assistant Professor or Assistant Professor of Practice to begin Fall 2027. The selected candidate will teach a range of undergraduate and graduate accounting courses and contribute to student mentorship and program growth.

The position offers teaching across Vermillion, Sioux Falls, and online modalities, with expected scholarly activity and campus engagement in service to the department and broader community.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in accounting from an AACSB-accredited business school; ABDs considered with defense by start date.
• Record of, or potential for, scholarship in accounting.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
• Teach on Vermillion campus, Sioux Falls campus, and online.
• Engage in scholarly research and service to department and university.
