Job summary

The University of South Dakota’s Beacom School of Business seeks applications for a tenure-track assistant professor or a non-tenure track assistant professor of practice in accounting beginning in Fall 2027. The position supports undergraduate and graduate programs and involves teaching across Vermillion, Sioux Falls, and online platforms.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in accounting (or ABD) with potential for scholarly contribution, and strong oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in accounting from an AACSB-accredited business school (ABD considered).
• Record of, or potential for, contribution to the scholarship of accounting.
• Proficiency in oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses.
• Teach Vermillion campus, Sioux Falls campus, and online classes.
• Provide an outstanding educational experience through teaching, mentorship, and activities outside the classroom.
• Engage in scholarly research and service for the department, university, profession, and community.
