Job summary

University of Nebraska-Lincoln's School of Accountancy invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice beginning August 2027. This nine-month appointment emphasizes teaching excellence and service to the program.

The successful candidate will teach a mix of undergraduate and graduate courses, typically 12 hours per semester, and participate in governance, student advising, and other academic activities within the School and College of Business.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate accounting degree and a CPA license; OR a Master’s degree in accounting with a related professional certification.
• A sustained record of high-quality teaching in accounting at the collegiate level.
• Meaningful service to academic programs, professional organizations, or the accounting profession.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses.
• Typically teach 12 hours (four courses) per semester.
• Participate in governance and advise students and student organizations.
• Contribute to the School and College’s teaching mission.
