Job summary

The School of Accountancy in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking applicants for a non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice position starting August 2027. Professors of Practice are teaching specialists that are hired on multi-year contracts, renewable subject to performance.

This will be an academic year (nine month) appointment and the salary is competitive.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate accounting degree and a CPA license; OR a Master’s degree in accounting and an accounting-related professional certification.
• A sustained record of high-quality teaching in accounting or related disciplines at the collegiate level.
• An established record of meaningful service to academic programs, professional organizations, or the accounting profession.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, typically 12 hours per semester.
• Participate in governance of the School and College of Business as appropriate.
• Advise students and student organizations and contribute to the teaching mission.

Education

Undergraduate accounting degree
