Job summary

The Carlyle Group, through Carlyle AlpInvest, seeks a Manager of Technical Accounting Policy to lead policy, governance, and advisory across private markets platforms. You will partner with fund controls, deal teams, and the SEC reporting group to harmonize accounting practices with Carlyle's enterprise framework.

In Washington, DC, you will standardize policies, conduct technical research, and support consolidation, revenue recognition, and other complex areas under US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or technical accounting policy.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP with proficiency in research and documentation.
• Experience applying US GAAP to asset management fund structures and ASC 810/606.
• SOX 404 internal control experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as GAAP accounting liaison across Carlyle functions.
• Standardize and maintain accounting policies and roll out guidance to Fund Accounting.
• Conduct technical accounting research and draft memos.
• Advise on fund-level investment accounting policy and related areas.
• Monitor adoption of new accounting pronouncements.
