Job summary

Employers Options, located in Kahului, HI, is seeking an Accounting & Payroll Clerk. The role is full-time with standard weekday hours, reporting to work on time as scheduled.

The position supports payroll, accounts payable, invoicing, and general clerical duties within a growing team. Experience with timekeeping and data entry is preferred. This is not a remote role and offers a stable work schedule.

• Proficient with Windows desktop applications.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify employee timesheets for accuracy and enter hourly data into the accounting system.
• Maintain employee payroll and personnel records as directed by the Senior Accountant.
• Process new hires and relay their information to the payroll service.
• Accept front counter payments, tally receipts, prepare bank deposits, and post receipts to the A/R system.
• Send invoices, statements, and letters to customers.
• Handle Penske truck rental reservations and payments, and prepare related reports.
• Issue and enter purchase orders, code and enter accounts payable invoices under supervision.
• Assist with preparing customer work orders for parts and service and create invoices for billing.
• Prepare reports and data for management and regulatory agencies; assist with clerical tasks.
• Follow all safety and environmental regulations.

Job Description

• Collect and verify employee timesheets for accuracy, and enter hourly data into the accounting system.
• Maintain employee payroll and personnel records as directed by the Senior Accountant.
• Process new hires and send their information to the payroll service.
• Accept front counter payments, tally receipts, prepare bank deposits, and post receipts to the A/R system.
• Send out invoices, customer statements, and customer letters.
• Handle Penske truck rental reservations and payments, and prepare the required Penske reports.
• Issue, edit, and enter purchase orders, and code and enter accounts payable invoices under the direction of the Accountant (Payables).
• Assist with preparing customer work orders for parts and service, review them for completeness, and create invoices for billing.
• Prepare reports and statistical data for management and regulatory agencies, and help with general clerical work.
• Follow all federal, state, local, and company safety, health, and environmental regulations.

Position Requirements

• Ability to use a desktop computer (Windows applications).
• Comfortable using various office equipment.
