Job summary

Aspire is seeking an accounting professional to own day-to-day transaction flow across expenses, sales orders, the general ledger and creator payouts. This role ensures creators and employees are paid accurately and on time, and keeps revenue and GL activity clean for month-end close.

You will review payments, reconcile revenue, and support month-end deliverables while maintaining strong controls. This remote role requires Pacific Time hours and experience with PayPal or similar platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in accounting, accounts payable or payments operations.
• Working knowledge of GL accounting, journal entries, reconciliations and revenue basics.
• Hands-on experience with high-volume payment runs and payment platforms (PayPal or similar).

Responsibilities

• Creator payments: review, approve and process payouts with supporting documentation.
• General ledger and revenue: record journal entries, reconcile revenue to orders and billing.
• Employee expense reimbursements: review reports in Airbase and coordinate reimbursements; assist payroll entries via Paylocity.

Job description

ASPIRE is looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional to own day-to-day transaction flow across expenses, sales orders, the general ledger and creator payouts. This role keeps creators and employees paid accurately and on time, and keeps revenue and GL activity clean for month-end close.

What You'll Be Doing:

Creator payments

• Review each creator payment run for accuracy, approvals and supporting documentation before release
• Process and pay out creator payments through Lumanu
• Prepare PayPal creator payments and send the approved batch to Payments Processing for release
• Investigate and resolve failed, duplicate or disputed payouts with creators and internal teams
• Review and approve sales orders daily, confirming pricing, terms and customer details
• Flag discrepancies to Sales and Customer Success before orders are booked

General ledger and revenue

• Record journal entries, accruals and reclasses in the GL
• Support revenue recognition and reconcile revenue to sales orders and billing
• Reconcile payment platform activity (Lumanu, PayPal) to the GL
• Contribute to month-end close deliverables on schedule

Employee expense reimbursements

• Review and approve employee expense reports in Airbase against company policy
• Coordinate reimbursements and follow up on missing receipts or out-of-policy spend
• Support payroll-related entries and data from Paylocity as needed

What We’re Looking For:

Required

• 3+ years in accounting, accounts payable or payments operations
• Working knowledge of GL accounting, journal entries, reconciliations and revenue basics
• Hands-on experience with high-volume payment runs and payment platforms (PayPal or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and controls mindset around approvals and payment release
• Clear written English and reliable communication with US-based teams
• Able to work consistently on Pacific Time hours

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or progress toward ACCA/CPA
• Experience with Lumanu, Airbase and Paylocity
• Background in influencer marketing, creator economy or SaaS
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills

The Total Compensation for this role is between $60,000 - $75,000.

Please note: The final offer amount will depend on factors like experience, expertise, and location, and may differ from the range above. This range also excludes additional benefits, such as equity, 401(k), and medical, dental, or vision insurance.
