Oliver James, a Tampa-based Property & Casualty insurer, seeks an Accounting Operations Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, close processes, and internal controls in a hybrid work setting.

The role blends accounting, operations, and process improvement, with oversight of a team and cross-functional collaboration with claims, underwriting, and finance to streamline financial workflows and deliver actionable performance insights.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or insurance.
• Property & Casualty insurance experience preferred.
• Experience mentoring staff and leading teams.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and insurance accounting operations.
• Proven ability to improve processes and implement scalable solutions.

Mansioni

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, close processes, and reconciliations.
• Mentor and lead a team of accounting professionals; provide development and performance oversight.
• Drive improvements in month-end and quarter-end close for accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with claims, underwriting, and finance to streamline workflows.
• Support internal controls development compliant with regulatory/audit requirements.
• Lead or assist with system implementations, automation, and continuous improvement.
