Position Summary:

This role requires a results-driven professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to lead and mentor a diverse team while fostering a growth mindset. The candidate will design and implement training programs for the accounting team and evaluate their effectiveness.

You will manage day-to-day accounting processes, review financial reports, and maintain critical documentation of processes. The Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for commercial real estate investments and overseeing the operations and culture of the accounting team.

As an Accounting Operations Manager, you will support the financial health of our clients and ensure the smooth operation of our accounting firm’s production team. The role involves interacting with clients, advising on their financials, and helping them make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Leadership Management:

• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Conduct training sessions for skill development.
• Foster a positive team culture.
• Support financial analysis and client insights.
• Develop and document accounting systems.
• Assist in financial planning and performance analysis.
• Review financial reports for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Accounting Process Management:

• Track team performance metrics.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting.
• At least 3 years managing or supervising teams.
• Knowledge of commercial lease agreements and accounting practices.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Real Page, MRI, Yardi) and Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel.
• Ability to quickly learn new software.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• High emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proven ability to improve processes and execute plans.
