Go2dynamic in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking an Accounting Operations Manager to own the monthly close, strengthen accounting operations, improve financial reporting, and partner with leadership to drive business performance. This hands-on role requires 7+ years of progressive accounting experience and leadership.

You will manage AP/AR, GL reconciliations, cash application, and reporting; oversee inventory‑intensive operations; work with Epicor Eclipse (ERP) and Excel; CPA/CMA optional but helpful;

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing operational and leadership responsibility.
• Experience owning or leading monthly close activities, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, payment processing, and accounting controls.
• Credit and collections experience including customer credit reviews, limits, holds, aging analysis, and bad debt exposure.
• Experience supervising accounting personnel across multiple locations.
• Background in wholesale distribution or inventory-heavy environment preferred.
• Experience with inventory accounting, valuation, and GL reconciliation.
• ERP accounting systems experience; Epicor Eclipse preferred; QuickBooks preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA/CMA beneficial but not required.

Responsabilités

• Lead centralized accounting operations: AP, AR, cash application, payment processing, credit administration, reconciliations, and GL activities.
• Develop and enhance the Epicor Eclipse general ledger structure and processes.
• Own the monthly close and coordinate year-end activities with outside CPA firm.
• Review entries, accruals, subledger reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy.
• Prepare and explain internal P&L statements, balance sheets, and branch performance reports.
• Evaluate customer creditworthiness, establish limits, and oversee collections activities.
• Monitor AR aging, collection effectiveness, disputes, and credit risk.
• Oversee construction-related credit processes and lien-related activities when applicable.
• Support budgeting, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, and operations leadership to ensure accurate inventory valuation and GL reflection.
• Strengthen internal controls over payments, vendor maintenance, and banking access.
• Evaluate ERP functionality to improve efficiency, reporting, scalability, and accuracy.
• Coordinate activities with outside CPA firm, tax professionals, and external advisors.
• Direct supervision of A/R Clerk, A/P Clerk, and Accounting Support Clerk.
• Provide accounting guidance and standardized procedures to branch administrators.
• Develop documented procedures, backup coverage, and cross-training to reduce risk.
