Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and the month-end close process. This role oversees the accounting team, ensures accurate financial reporting, and strengthens internal controls while improving workflows and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, GL, and month-end close processes.
• ERP system experience and proficiency in Excel; Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full accounts payable cycle: invoicing, approvals, vendor payments, and discrepancy resolution.
• Manage accounts receivable activities: billing, cash application, collections, and aging reviews.
• Lead month-end and year-end close with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Supervise and develop AP/AR team members through coaching and feedback.
• Strengthen internal controls and partner with sales/operations to resolve issues.
