Job summary

Commonwealth of VA Careers in Culpeper, VA is seeking an experienced Finance and Accounting Manager to assist with district accounting operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with GAAP and state laws.

You will support accounts payable and receivable, petty cash, cash receipts and general ledger functions, provide guidance and training, handle payroll support, and uphold confidentiality across the finance team.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and oral communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to explain financial terms and apply tax policies.
• Experience applying accounting knowledge to state and federal laws.
• Experience supervising staff, programs and budgets.

• Oversee district-wide accounts payable/receivable activities and staff assignments.
