Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA or CMA certification highly preferred.
• At least six years of accounting experience; mix of public and industry preferred.
• At least two years of supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations; roll forwards for key accounts.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities; analyze variances and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare quarterly financial reporting packages for parent company.
• Prepare and review state and other tax returns; assist with audits and reporting.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations; ensure proper documentation and internal controls.
• Mentor and supervise accounting staff; provide guidance for timely and accurate work.
• Research new accounting regulations and implement reporting changes.
• Provide schedules and documents for internal and external audits.
• Support process improvements, ERP implementation, and automation initiatives.
