Job summary

BankIn Minnesota in Bloomington, MN, is seeking an Accounting & Operations Coordinator to support financial management, database maintenance, and executive-level operations for the SVP and senior leadership.

The role covers general ledger, journal entries, A/P and A/R, budgeting support, and reporting, with a focus on data accuracy and compliance. Hybrid work flexibility and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with membership management systems or CRM databases preferred.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with fund or association accounting principles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries, deposits, and accounts payable/receivable transactions.
  • Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes.
  • Process membership dues, event payments, sponsorship billing, and vendor invoices.
  • Monitor cash flow, reconcile bank accounts, and maintain documentation for compliance.
  • Prepare and file required tax and regulatory documents in coordination with external accountants.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data integrity in the database, maintaining accurate member records across the full membership lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular data quality reviews, including deduplication and billing contact updates.
  • Generate financial, membership, and operational reports as requested by leadership.
  • Provide administrative support to the SVP, Director of Operations and senior leadership, including scheduling, correspondence, and meeting and travel preparation.
  • Assist with board and committee logistics, materials preparation, and follow-up on action items.
  • Support leadership with data analysis, operational reporting, and special projects as directed.

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota (hybrid eligible)

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounting & Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the financial management, database, and operational functions of BankIn Minnesota. This role combines core accounting duties with database support and executive and operations-level administrative assistance to the SVP, Director of Operations and other senior leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, technologically proficient, and thrives in a collaborative environment that supports Minnesota's community banking industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Education & Experience
