Position Summary
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee the financial and accounting needs. This role supervises day-to-day accounting operations and leads the development and implementation of processes for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. The Accounting Manager will also review business, quality, and operations processes and make recommendations for improvement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing goals, policies, priorities, and procedures related to financial management, budgeting, and accounting
- Hire, train, and develop accounting staff as needed; provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation for the team
- Plan, assign, and direct work; conduct performance management, coaching, staff development, recognition, and corrective action as needed
- Supervise and participate in preparing financial statements and reports; review financial statements with partners
- Direct processing of accounting functions and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Review and reconcile general ledger entries
- Prepare cash balances reports for partners and identify cash management opportunities
- Direct internal audits; evaluate accounting/administrative controls and improve or develop procedures and system controls
- Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
- Interact with third parties regarding accounting matters
- Provide timely, accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends, and forecasts
- Develop and implement best-practice policies and procedures
- Manage financial forecasting, budgets, consolidation, and reporting
- Assign projects and guide staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations for financial and tax reporting
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation, including historical records
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field (or equivalent discipline)
- 5+ years of experience overseeing and developing finance/accounting and/or administrative teams (including global teams)
- Strong hands-on experience with financial, operational, and compliance audit procedures
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor
- Experience successfully completing major projects (e.g., ERP implementation, compliance audits, M&A, integration, public offerings)
- Financial planning and analysis experience
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with accounting software/databases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Cost accounting experience is a plus
