Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager, Treasury & AP will support the team in critical analyses of financial activities as well as timely and accurate financial reporting and close processes. This role offers a tremendous opportunity to gain experience within a growing company (and small Finance team) and have significant exposure to leadership. The role manages the end-to-end Tipalti Accounts Payable (AP) process, including procurement and expenses administration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, partnering with operations to ensure accuracy of results and balances.
2. Oversee all Tipalti AP processes, including procurement, invoice processing, expense claims, and purchase requests.
3. Prepare / review journal entries, perform account reconciliations and fluxes.
4. Manage global operating expense and related prepaid and accruals processes.
5. Support external and internal audits and other local financial compliance requirements in relevant territories, including preparation of workpapers and memos.
6. Support company objectives by completing additional tasks as needed.

Initial Responsibilities (Day 1 – 3 months):

1. Proficiency with all Tipalti AP processes, including procurement, invoice processing, expense claims, and purchase requests.
2. Review and validate expense submissions for compliance with company policies, ensuring required fields (such as expense account, department, and description) are accurate before passing to finance review.
3. Build underlying processes to close the fiscal month within 8 business days.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred.
• 4+ years' experience in accounting roles, with a mix of public accounting and private company experience preferred.
• Experience in a startup or carve-out environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards and ability to assess, analyze, and thoroughly document accounting positions.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to manipulate spreadsheets, create pivot tables, and summarize data from multiple sources.
• Experience performing detailed and data-intensive reconciliations.
• Effective at writing and presenting analyses for various partners/users.
• Problem-solving skills for resolving exceptions and managing process changes in the Tipalti platform.
• Ability to document, follow, and optimize AP workflows and maintain high-quality financial records.
• Proficient using NetSuite.
