Coextruded Plastics Technologies, Inc. (CPT) in Janesville, Wisconsin is seeking an Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant to lead monthly closes, manage inventory costing, and supervise AP/AR staff in a manufacturing setting.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will influence financial processes and cost control across operations. The role emphasizes ownership, deadlines, and collaboration with Operations, Purchasing, and the executive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Inventory and cost accounting experience desired.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required.
• Experience with ERP accounting systems; SYSPRO a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take active role in monthly close and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Manage inventory costing and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Oversee general ledger and financial reporting.
• Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
• Support annual audit and tax reporting requirements.

CPT is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant to join our manufacturing operation in Janesville, Wisconsin.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who is ready for greater responsibility and wants to play an important role in the financial operations of a growing manufacturing company.

Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this position will have significant responsibility for the monthly close, general accounting, inventory and manufacturing cost accounting, financial reporting, and will directly supervise our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Take an active role in the monthly and year-end financial close
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements
• Manage inventory accounting and reconciliations
• Analyze standard costs, manufacturing costs and production variances
• Maintain fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Support annual audit and tax reporting requirements
• Supervise and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff
• Strengthen accounting controls and improve accounting processes
• Work closely with Operations, Purchasing and other departments
• Provide financial analysis and support to the Director of Finance and Executive team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
• Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred
• Inventory and cost accounting experience highly desirable
• Previous supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
• Experience with ERP accounting systems
• SYSPRO experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to take ownership, meet deadlines and work independently
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus butnot required.
