Job summary

EVgo is hiring a Manager, Accounting to lead multiple accounting teams and oversee the general ledger close process. You will provide technical accounting leadership across a broad portfolio and partner with a cross-functional group including Controller, FP&A, tax, and legal.

The role requires strong US GAAP expertise, SOX experience, and a track record of building high-performing teams. The position offers a competitive salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3+ years managing managers or multiple accounting teams.
• Experience in a public company environment with external auditors and Big 4 coordination.
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP across general accounting areas and close processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-team accounting close cycle and provide technical accounting leadership.
• Oversee close activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for assigned areas.
• Serve as escalation point for complex accounting questions; research and document positions.
• Ensure SOX documentation, testing, and remediation; coordinate with internal/external auditors.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and cross-functional collaboration with Controller, FP&A, tax, and legal.
