Job summary

Exelon is seeking an experienced accounting leader to oversee a team responsible for monthly closes, financial reporting, and SOX controls. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to drive forecasting, regulatory data requests, and process improvements.

Ideal candidates bring 7–10 years of accounting experience, a CPA and/or MBA, and strong analytical and leadership skills to develop the team and improve efficiency within Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 7-10 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of FASB/GAAP and SOX compliance.
• Ability to document issues in work papers and memos.
• Strong analytical skills andJudgment in various areas.
• Effective communication and leadership with project management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee an accounting team handling close, reporting, and SOX controls.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners for forecast and planning.
• Lead process improvements and automation projects.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly statements and variance analyses.
• Engage with internal/external auditors and regulatory data requests.
• Develop and mentor accountants, fostering a high‑performance team.
