Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Accountant to help build accounting processes and systems for FTR, with exposure across Finance, Operations, Engineering, and more. You will tackle complex transactions, research GAAP, and drive scalable controls as new products and models launch.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, ERP support, and process automation to strengthen reporting and reduce risks while contributing to month-end and quarter-end closes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA is preferred.
• Knowledge of COSO internal control framework.
• Knowledge of GAAP research tools and the FASB codification.
• Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients.
• Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Own accounting for manufacturing and emerging FTR business initiatives, including inventory, fixed assets, capitalization, and other complex transactions.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Product, Tax, and Technology teams to develop accounting solutions as new products and business models are launched.
• Research technical accounting questions and translate U.S. GAAP requirements into practical, scalable business processes.
• Support ERP implementations and finance transformation initiatives, including requirements, testing, controls, and deployment.
• Identify opportunities to automate and simplify accounting processes, improve reporting, and strengthen financial controls.
• Support month-end and quarter-end reporting while helping the organization identify and resolve accounting risks as the business grows.
