Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking an Accounting Manager to assist the Senior Director of Accounting in overseeing accounts payable, property accounting, and venture-related activities. You will help streamline monthly processes, support an offshore transition, and drive process automation improvements.

The role requires 3-4 days in the office weekly to collaborate with stakeholders. You will lead a team through month-end close, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and tax requirements while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Experience with property accounting preferred.
• Proven track record of process improvement and change management within a finance function.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and other accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and train a team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting tasks.
• Month end close: review and approve journal entries, invoices, payments, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Review property-related entries to ensure expenses are allocated at a property level.
• Manage monthly close including supplier and expense accrual processes and deadlines.
• Assist in accounting matters related to joint-venture activities.
• Oversee credit card expense processing and adherence to policy.
• Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports from third parties and joint venture entities.
• Monitor internal controls and accounting policies to ensure SOX compliance.
• Ensure regulatory tax compliance and alignment with company policies.
• Support offshore transition of tasks and process automation initiatives.
• Assist audits providing documentation and information as requested.
• Stay updated on accounting standards and provide training as needed.
